ECMAR's New Director

Dr. Tony Morrall of BMT Group Ltd in the UK has been appointed Director of ECMAR, from 1 January 2009, for a period of two years

ECMAR's General Assembly 2009

This year's General Assembly will take place on 4 March in Brussels. Mr Frédéric Sgarbi, Deputy Head of Unit "Surface Transport" (DG RTD/H2), has agreed to give a presentation at the General Assembly, on the Commission’s European Maritime strategy and its state of advancement

European Maritime Day - 19-20 May 2009

This year's European Maritime Day events will take place in Rome from 18 to 21 May. This occasion will highlight the crucial role played by the Oceans and Seas and its contribution to a better visibility of the maritime sectors.

3rd Call for Proposals for FP7

The 3rd Call for Sustainable Surface Transport (SST), for FP7, is expected in July 2009, with submission dates in 2010
