We invite you to join us for a unique day of professional engagement and scientific commemoration. The BSHC & ECMAR Maritime Forum is designed to bridge high-level strategic dialogue with the celebration of our shared scientific heritage. This event offers two distinct opportunities:
an interactive morning session focused on shaping the future of European maritime research, and
an afternoon showcase celebrating 50 years of BSHC excellence and the ongoing evolution of ECMAR.

Session 1: Strategic Maritime Forum: EU Funding & Regional Integration
(Morning Session | 09:00 – 12:00)
Target Audience: Decision-makers, Directors, Heads of R&D, and Institutional Representatives.
This session is designed as an interactive platform for strategic exchange. Moving beyond traditional presentations, this forum invites leaders to engage in high-level dialogue regarding the integration of Eastern European organisations into the European maritime ecosystem. Participants will collaborate on identifying strategies to overcome regional barriers and participate in intensive brainstorming sessions to target Horizon Europe 2027 calls. This is a unique opportunity to map expertise, build potential research consortia, and shape collaborative priorities for the future.

This session honors the 50-year legacy of BSHC while showcasing the cutting-edge research currently driving ECMAR’s mission. Attendees will experience a retrospective look at our scientific history, an immersive tour of our facilities, and a deep dive into the technical impact of recent EU projects. The event concludes with official anniversary ceremonies and a cocktail reception—providing an ideal environment for networking and celebrating our collective scientific achievements.
