    Research & Activities


    ECMAR is a European network of maritime research organisations focused on applied research. It promotes collaboration, contributes to EU policies and supports the development of innovative solutions addressing key maritime challenges.

    ECMAR focuses on key domains such as decarbonisation, digitalisation, maritime safety, circularity and applied research. These areas aim to strengthen Europe’s competitiveness and accelerate the transition towards sustainable maritime operations.

    ECMAR supports innovation by connecting research organisations, industry stakeholders and policymakers. It facilitates collaboration on European projects, promotes mid-TRL research and helps bridge the gap between research and market deployment.
